Coming off as a stern, no-nonsense librarian paints Maven as a serious and strict individual. Countless hours of having to practice magic and absorb information of the universe has reduced him to such a hardheaded state of being. On top of that, the sorcerer himself admits to being an introvert, preferring the peaceful nature of his library over associating himself with others.Thankfully, Maven's true self can be seen by those who know him well; a whimsically curious spirit who wishes to learn more about the universe and its many secrets held within. That curiosity leads to him experimenting magic most of the time, with various results of positivity and negativity. Friendly and outgoing, Maven welcomes all to the Twilight Library with open arms, willing to do his best to assist however he can.At the end of the day, he takes his job as the World Sorcerer with upmost seriousness. The amount of stress that comes with it makes Maven prone to secluding himself within his studies, doing everything he can to become stronger and smarter than his past self. If that wasn't enough of a concern, being exposed to such universal terrors, singularities, and other oddities has led to him being on edge a lot more often than he'd like to admit.
In order to transition from a support mage to a combat mage, Maven's body has been trained thoroughly to experience and handle a great deal of magical energy and power. Every waking moment of his life since the tender age of 16 has been him sculpting and training his body to withstand the power of stronger, more dangerous forms of magic. With overwhelming mana reserves and an arsenal of spells at his disposal, there is a reason as to why he is considered as the World Sorcerer.Magic has greatly affected the genetic makeup of those who use it. In some cases, users gain passive traits that can be considered as extra additions to their craft. Although not nearly as useful as others, there are a couple of passive abilities Maven can use to help him out in everyday life and battle.
| Teleportation: | As simple as it gets. He can get from one place to another with a simple teleportation spell. Mastery of such a thing has allowed him to perform it without the prior need for any sort of preparation. |
| Magic Resistance: | Of course, being someone who has been deeply involved with magic, Maven is not as affected by it compared to most, and will usually scoff off some of the more basic and simple magic attacks. He can even brush off more destructive magical attacks. Despite his resistance, he is not immune to it. |

MAGICAL ENERGY ATTACKS
With magic a constant in our universe, those blessed with the ability to use it will be exposed to magical energy. This potent resource fuels all kinds of magic, and it can be considered as incredibly versatile. Everything that Maven does in regards to spells and whatnot ultimately come back to the control of magic energy. However, the magical energy stored inside of him can be used in its raw and destructive state. Far different from Construction Magic, Maven uses magical energy in the form of energy blasts, shots, and explosions for the sole purpose of dealing as much damage necessary. It should be stated that higher concentrations of magical energy will result in greater results. Those who have mastered the control of magical energy can use it to create magical constructs to their liking. These can range from your simple, everyday needs, to something more along the lines of combat in the form of swords, shields, arrows, chains, and so on. Practical uses like platforming can also serve as a reliable application for this magic.
WORLD MAGICWorld Magic. It is THE magic reserved for only the highest level of sorcerers. Some say that World Magic is the reason as to why the world is shaped the way it is. Others proclaim that World Magic is another way of saying "All Magic," indicating that those who know this magic have, by proxy, mastered every other magic that has ever existed.In truth, the real name of this magic is Origin Magic, the very first magic that came to existence. Known throughout the cosmos as the strongest magic. Self-explanatory by name, World Magic is just that; magic that can reshape, alter, control, enforce, and even destroy aspects of the World itself. This magic takes years of experience to fully master, but some spells can be taught to beginners after thorough conditioning of the body, mind, and spirit.It is important to note, however, that World Magic can turn the user into a glass cannon, should they not be properly trained in it. Maven has been experienced with World Magic for quite some time now, but even then, he is still unable to perform his strongest spell harm-free.
| World Magic: Mirror World: | A glassy dimension ruled over by Maven, one where he is able to create illusions of himself and reflect any attacks off of the mirror structures scattered all over. This dimension is described as one with an astral background, mirrors all over the place, and the ground itself being that of a glassy texture. |
| World Magic: Spatial Displacement: | Whether it be through contact or the wave of a hand, persons or entire structures can be "displaced" to a different location, or in place of another object. For instance, two people can switch positions instantly. In another, an attack intended for one target can be "displaced" to another, due to the manipulation of space and area itself. In the most extreme of cases, entire landscapes can be moved to different locations. Even objects from actual visible space can be swapped out. |
| World Magic: Shockrift: | A vastly different spell in comparison to Spatial Displacement. Taking the space itself, Maven twists and contorts it to such ludicrous degrees that it destroys it entirely. Space is warped and bent to create violently twisted effects that can destroy landscapes and firmly rip individuals to shreds. Due to the catastrophic nature of this spell, it is mainly considered as a spell used to ensure complete destruction of an opponent's defenses. |
| World Magic: Up-Down: | A gravity oriented spell that completely reduces gravity to zero, or increases it to body crushing strength. The range of this attack can go as far as ten miles in either direction. Anything beyond that would require more magical power, but he can do that easily. |
| World Magic: Mass Flow: | Mass itself gets manipulated by Maven. With Mass Flow, he can make any ordinary object bigger or smaller. This can also be done to himself, rather than just other people, should the situation call for something like this. Mass Flow can also affect applicable attacks, which in turn, will make them larger than usual or smaller. |
| World Magic: Elemental Overdrive: | This spell takes any element and charges it up to the extreme. Maven can bring forth whatever element necessary at its most destructive state. For water, it would be the form of a massive tsunami or hurricane. For fire, it could differ between fires that range for thousands of miles or a massive firestorm that replicates a tornado. It all varies on his own imagination and knowledge of said element. |
| World Magic: Return to Stasis: | A glorified "reset" spell, which turns everything back to normal so long as it hasn't been any longer than one minute. An effective spell at repairing excessive amounts of damage and any abnormalities caused. |
| World Magic: Heavens Unleashed: | A gigantic meteor is summoned from space itself, coming down with potentially extinction-level force. |
| World Magic: Eternal Upbringing: | Casting a thin wave of magic upon an object or target allows Maven to aptly control it to his desires. For instance; entire landscapes, buildings, areas, even continents can be uprooted and torn off from the ground. In a sense, if used upon living beings, he can control their movements and actions. |
| World Magic: Zero Point: | Both hands come together in a strange fashion; the palm of the left hand is perpendicular to the palm of the right hand. A black ball of magic is then created and launched off. Once contact is made with the area or a target, overwhelming power akin to a nuke is immediately triggered. The surrounding destruction virtually guarantees the complete atomization of all in its radius. |
| World Magic: Star Fall: | Calling upon the cosmos themselves, Maven concentrates a great deal of magical power, summoning a torrent of stars that rain down upon everything and everyone. Due to the intense strength of this spell, not only is this Maven's strongest spell, but he will paralyzed for one minute after the spell is used. |
MAGICAL EQUIPMENTSpells are not the only things that Maven will rely on when it comes to combat. His knowledge of magic also expands upon the many weapons and creations that use magic as its main source of energy. With that in mind, this is the current arsenal in the World Sorcerer's possession.
| The World Grimoire: | A grimoire that harvests the World Magic spells necessary for the World Sorcerer. Knowledge of the universe, forbidden spells, origins of a wide variety of magic, and research of ancient beings that roam the cosmos can be found within these old pages. However, the real purpose of the Grimoire is to act as an armory for a wide assortment of magical weaponry. These weapons act on the same vein as spells, so they too require an immense amount of magical power to be of use. |
| Magical Black Sword: Eclipse: | Maven can summon a sword for close ranged fights. The black blade of the sword can generate purple lightning that shocks the opponent upon contact, as well as act as a conductor for lightning based attacks. Said attacks can be absorbed and sent back to the user. This is not a weapon he uses very often. |
| Shield of Resolution: Order: | Another magical item, both for offensive and defensive purposes. The shield can absorb damage and store it through kinetic energy. Once that has been accomplished, the shield will be able to dish out all of the kinetic energy that had been stored up by way of a shield bash. The shield's durability allows the sorcerer to endure tremendous damage, but it will eventually force out the kinetic energy by should it take too much punishment. |
| Astral Bow: | A bow generating tremendous amounts of cosmic energy. The only arrows that can be used are those laced with magic. The cosmic power from the string charges the arrow with amazing power, manifesting a destructive impact with every shot. Every arrow shot has the capacity of surging magical energy inside of someone, overclocking them and eventually creating a massive explosion. |
| Mana Flag: | A black flag with a strange magical sigil laced upon the cloth. When deployed, anyone that is within its radius, Maven included, will have their magical attacks amped up to overwhelming degrees of strength and power. |
| Leather-Strapped Briefcase: | A simple briefcase with his initials at the end of it. This is the Twilight Library, a portable space of infinite books. It's also his means of keeping important information close at hand. |
HEALING SIGNBefore transitioning into a full fledged battle mage, Maven's main priority was support. Due to this, he has been exposed to a special healing spell that is used to restore wounds. What's more, this powerful spell goes beyond closing gashes and cuts. It can even help in the repairing of missing limbs and internal injuries. The intensity of his healing is indicated by three distinct marks on his hand that make a unique sign, hence the appropriate title, Healing Sign.

THE TWILIGHT LIBRARY
It all started from a single page of a long forgotten grimoire.A dying sorcerer's wish to obtain infinite knowledge in this vast universe. He sought to find the secrets of the unknown, do what was once thought to be impossible, and obtain what is far and out of reach. HIs magic, which dabbled in the very manipulation of information and thought itself, were engraved within the pages of his grimoire. During his seemingly endless pursuit of gaining this unholy level of omniscience, he perished from his decaying body's inability to withstand the massive excess of magical power.As the sun began to set on his wonderful life, the singular page that remained from his grimoire suddenly manifested, taking shape and altering itself into something greater than anything anyone had ever seen before. A page became a stack of paper, a stack became a book, and from that came a wide variety of books and other oddities written in the long-spanning history of humanity. Soon enough, it sat upon a hill, becoming a magnificent library that holds every book ever written down by a human being.Thus, the library birthed at twilight was created, dubbed plainly as the Twilight Library.This knowledge is plentiful, yet also incredibly dangerous, should it needlessly fall into the wrong hands. Generation after generation of sorcerers gather here to study the library's secrets and add on to the practically infinite collection of books. Such a tradition continued until the library itself was passed down to Maven, being the sole owner and guardian of the Twilight Library.
